The North East Rail Trail runs between Scottsdale (low point) and Billycock Hill (high Point) on the Tasman Highway near Branxholm. The 26km trail follows an old railway alignment and is rated easy to intermediate, traversing farmland on the outskirts of Scottsdale before winding its way through forest and cuttings on the way up to Billycock Hill. Scottsdale is located 25 minutes drive from Derby.
